Legacy Project Studio LLC
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Legacy Project Studio LLC ("we," "us," or "our") respects the personal nature of the work you trust us with. This policy explains what information we collect through legacyprojectstudio.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and how we protect it.
The short version: we collect information only from our contact form and from orders, we use it only to answer you and complete your project, and we do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise distribute it.
1. Information We Collect
Contact form. When you contact us, we collect the information you enter, typically your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and the contents of your message.
Orders. When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and the details of what you ordered.
Project materials. To create your film or product, you provide photographs, video, audio recordings, names, dates, and written details about the people and events in your project. These often include images of family members and information about people who have died.
Payment information. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. Your full payment card number goes directly to that processor and is never received or stored by us. We see only limited information such as the last four digits and whether the payment succeeded.
We do not collect information from any source other than our contact form and your order. We do not buy customer lists, and we do not collect information about you from third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to:
Respond to your inquiry
Prepare a quote and communicate with you about your project
Produce and deliver the film or products you ordered
Process your payment and keep required business and tax records
Contact you about your order, including proofs, shipping, and reorders
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your permission.
3. How We Protect Your Project Materials
Your photographs and family information are private. We treat them as confidential.
We do not publish, share, or display your photographs, video, audio, or your family's names or images in our portfolio, on our website, on social media, or in any advertising without your permission.
Access to project materials is limited to the people working on your project. Physical originals are stored securely while in our possession and returned as agreed in your order.
4. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute your personal information or project materials to anyone.
The only parties who may handle limited information are the service providers we need to run the business, and only for that purpose. These include our website host, email provider, payment processor, and shipping carrier. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if we are required to by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or where necessary to protect our legal rights.
If our business is ever sold or transferred, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction, and it would remain subject to this policy.
5. Cookies and Site Analytics
The Site may use cookies to function properly and to give us basic, aggregate information about how many people visit and which pages they view. This information is not tied to your identity.
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the Site may not work properly if you disable them.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run retargeting advertising.
6. How Long We Keep Information
We keep your contact and order information for as long as needed to complete your project and afterward for business and tax records, generally seven years, as required by law.
We keep project files for a limited period after delivery so that reorders and reprints are possible. We are not obligated to store your files indefinitely, and you should keep your own copy of your finished film and your original photographs.
You may ask us at any time to delete your project files and materials, and we will do so, except for records we are legally required to keep.
7. Your Rights
You may:
Ask what personal information we hold about you
Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
Ask us to delete your information and project materials
Ask us to return or destroy physical originals in our possession
Opt out of any communications that are not related to your order
To make any of these requests, email legacyprojectstudio@gmail.com. We will respond promptly and within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Florida residents, California residents, and residents of other states with privacy laws have these rights under those laws, and we extend them to all of our customers as a matter of practice.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information and materials we hold, including limited access and secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Information About People Who Have Died
Memorial and tribute projects necessarily involve information about people who have died. We treat that information with the same care and confidentiality as information about living people, and we do not share it or use it for any purpose other than your project.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are purchased by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Projects often include photographs of children supplied by their parents or family, and we handle those images with the same confidentiality as all other project materials.
11. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date will change. If we ever make a change that materially affects how we handle your information, we will notify customers with active projects by email.
