Having your favorite photos and media picked out ahead of time will make uploading them easier when you begin creating your project—but don’t worry about having everything perfectly organized.

You can save your progress and come back later if you aren’t able to complete your project information and uploads in one sitting.

Start with a few details about who or what your project is for and what you’d like your story to celebrate.

It might be a child growing up, a wedding, an anniversary, a family history, a vacation, a team, a memorial, a business, a milestone—or something completely your own.

There are no rules about what deserves to become a Legacy Project.

If it matters to you, it belongs in your story.

Choose the setting and style that feels right for your story.

Our themes aren’t tied to one particular occasion. The same forest that tells the story of a child growing up might become the backdrop for a family adventure, a milestone birthday, a memorial, or decades of memories.

And these aren’t simply static backgrounds. Depending on the theme, ocean waves may roll, flowers gently sway, fireworks sparkle, trails move beneath you, clouds drift across the sky, or other elements move throughout the scene.

Choose the number of story scenes you’d like included in your Legacy Project.

Think of each scene almost like a page in your story—one individually designed part of your project that appears on screen before your story transitions into the next.

Unlike a traditional page, however, a scene can come to life with movement, music, video, voices, and other special touches.

Each scene can feature photographs, a video, a letter, a voice recording, meaningful words, or a combination of elements.

How Many Scenes Will I Need?

As you choose your story size, think about how many memories you’d like to include and how you’d like them displayed.

Most photo scenes look best with approximately 1–6 photos. We can sometimes include more, but the more photographs placed within a single scene, the smaller each individual photograph will appear.

Some moments also deserve a little more room. A particularly meaningful photograph may look beautiful as the focus of an entire scene, while several related photographs may work perfectly together.

In general, the more scenes you choose, the more photographs and memories we can comfortably include while still giving each one the space it needs to be seen and appreciated.

Videos

We include one video per scene.

Videos begin playing as you enter the scene, helping your story flow naturally from one moment to the next. Keeping each video on its own scene prevents multiple videos from playing over one another and helps keep individual scenes from becoming too long, which could interrupt the overall flow of your story.

The video will typically be the prominent feature of its scene. When the design allows, photographs, words, or other visual elements may be incorporated around it as smaller supporting details.

Letters

Letters are also typically the prominent feature of a scene so they remain easy to read and have the impact they deserve.

When space and design allow, photographs or other meaningful elements may be incorporated around the letter as smaller supporting details.

Voice Recordings

Your voice can make a memory even more personal.

You can easily record audio using your phone or another recording method and upload the recording with your project.

Your voice can read a letter aloud, answer a question, tell the story behind a photograph, share a favorite memory, leave a personal message, or simply play during a meaningful scene.

Because your story size and price are selected when you order, it’s important to choose a size that gives us enough scenes to comfortably include the memories you want.

Once you’ve selected your story size, you don’t have to figure out exactly how every piece should be arranged.

You don’t need every type of media.

Some stories may be filled with photographs and videos. Others may include handwritten letters, voices, personal messages, questions and answers, or stories that have never been written down before.

We thoughtfully bring together the pieces that make your story worth remembering.

Your Photos Stay Yours

We believe the people in your photographs should still look like themselves.

We do not use AI to alter your photos, faces, bodies, or features unless a specific request has been discussed and agreed upon with you.

Your natural expressions, features, and beauty are part of the memory—and we want to preserve them.

Occasionally, we may remove the background from a photograph so the person, pet, or subject can be more naturally immersed within one of our themed environments.

We aren’t changing the person or subject. We’re simply changing how the photograph is presented within the scene.

Your memories should still look like your memories.

This is where all those individual pieces become something more.

Your photographs, videos, words, voices, music, personal touches, and our moving themed backgrounds are thoughtfully woven together into a custom-designed multimedia story that flows from one scene to the next.

There isn’t a button that creates your Legacy Project.

A real person creates it for you.

We make thoughtful choices about placement, pacing, movement, transitions, balance, music, and design with your particular story in mind.

Every project is individually created because the story we’re working with is yours.

A Little Tip

Short video and audio clips—around 10 seconds when possible—help keep your story moving naturally.

Have a longer video, letter, or recording you don’t want to shorten? That’s okay. We can place longer pieces where they make the most sense within the project, including toward the end, so the entire memory can be enjoyed without interrupting the natural flow of your story.

Once your custom-designed multimedia story is finished, your digital story link and downloadable MP4 video will be sent directly to you, so you can begin watching and sharing it right away.

If you’ve ordered additional keepsakes, we’ll then begin preparing those items for delivery.

Every Legacy Project includes your digital story link, but your story doesn’t have to live only on a screen.

You can also turn it into keepsakes designed to be displayed, gifted, saved, and experienced again and again.

Framed Photo + QR Code

Choose a favorite image from your project and turn it into a framed keepsake with a QR code that opens the story when scanned.

It’s a beautiful way to keep your story close at home or share it at family gatherings, celebrations, memorials, reunions, parties, team events, business locations, and other meaningful occasions.

Preloaded USB

Your complete project can be loaded onto a USB, giving you a physical digital copy for safekeeping and an easy way to play or upload your story on compatible devices, including many televisions.

Digital Photo Frame

Turn your story into part of the room. Your project arrives preloaded onto a digital frame, creating a keepsake that can be displayed and experienced again and again.

Premium Photo Book

For those who still love something they can hold, favorite photographs and moments from your story can also become a beautifully designed premium printed photo book.

Your keepsakes don’t all have to be shipped to you.

We can send them directly to friends, family members, clients, teammates, or anyone else you’d like to receive one.

When ordering, simply add the addresses in the notes section and tell us which item should be sent to each person.

You may provide as many different shipping addresses as you need.

That means one Legacy Project can become a meaningful gift shared with an entire family—even when everyone lives miles apart.

We will retain your completed Legacy Project for a minimum of one year, giving you time to return and purchase additional keepsakes created from the same story.

However, digital memories deserve a backup too.

We strongly recommend downloading and saving your completed project in a safe location, just as you would with other important photographs, videos, and personal media.
